To all our supporters, many thanks for your support, not just yesterday but throughout the season. At the beginning of the season, our ambition was to get promoted, which was a realistic ambition of probably 8 teams. We just failed to do this. We will now have to lick our wounds, see where we can improve on and off the pitch and start the hard work all over again.
For myself, there have been plenty of positives and the club is now in the enviable position of not owing a penny to anyone apart from us directors. We don't have a sugar daddy or a 4g pitch (not a coincidence that both promoted teams played on plastic which brings in plenty of money), but what we have is a group of people who allow every penny of profit go on the playing budget.
On Friday night we have the supporters club presentation. All the players will be in attendance. 8pm, disco, buffet and free admission for all. This club is about you, the supporters. You are the ones who keep me going. Come along friday and have a beer and chat.
Thanks,
Colin
