Congratulations to George Purcell who made his 200th appearance for the club in Tuesday’s 6-0 rout of Mildenhall Town in which he scored 1 and provided the assist for 3 of the other goals.

George signed from Margate making his debut for Hornchurch against Lewes at the start of the 2013/14 campaign.  George finished top scorer at the end of that season and repeated the feat in the next 2 seasons scoring over 100 goals (102 in fact) in those 3 seasons.  Season 2016/17 was curtailed through injury but he’s back to his best for the current campaign leading the way with 12 goals to date.

Overall, 116 goals in 200 appearances is an exceptional goals return.
