The Urchins take a break from Ryman league action this Tuesday as they host AFC Sudbury in the 3rd round of the Ryman League Cup.  Kick off 7:45pm at the Bridge.

AFC Sudbury currently lie 15th in the Ryman Premier having gained pomotion from the Ryman Division 1 North by finishing clear champions.  This season has been a bit of  a mixed bag in terms of results having won 7 of their 20 league games.  In the Ryman Cup they overcame Lowestoft Town in round 1 and Waltham Abbey in round 2 with ex-Urchin Sam Bantick on target in both games.  Last time out they suffered a home reverse losing out to Harlow Town 2-1 but prior to that had good wins over Kings Langley in the FA Trophy and Billericay Town in the league.  Sam Bantick tops the scoring charts with 9.

AFC Hornchurch, the draw specialists, are on a good run of form having lost only 1 or their last 11 outings, a 3-0 defeat at East Thurrock Utd in the Essex Senior Cup.  They beat Haringey Borough 4-1 in round 1 of the Ryman Cup and Enfield Town by the same score in round 2 with Leon McKenzie netting a hat-trick in both fixtures.  On Saturday they travelled to Dereham Town in the league and left with a share of the spoils with the game ending 0-0, the 4th 0-0 draw in their last 7 matches.

Both games between the sides ended in draws last season following a 1-1 at AFC Sudbury and a 1-1 at the Bridge.

There’ll be no draw on Tuesday however with the game being played to a finish on the night.
